CALIBRATED STAINLESS STEEL
Calibrated stainless-steel chains are preferred by the most discerning boat builders to equip windlasses when continuous exposure to the weather and sea salt calls for an adequate quality and functional response of the manufacturing materials used.
The use of austenitic stainless steels classified according to the US AISI 316L standard, with low carbon content, provides the best protection against pitting corrosion and intergranular corrosion, thus extending the working life of the chain for many years. Tested and calibrated for the narrow tolerances of the windlasses of the best designers, the calibrated stainless-steel chain fears no anchoring in rough seas and thousands of work cycles.
Aisi 316L stainless-steel material with round section according to DIN 685 standard for testing and DIN 766 / EN 818-3 standard for specifications.
The test certificate is issued on request and packaging is in 30/60/100 litre drums.
